DISH Network Remote Access
DISH Network understands how busy our customers’ lives are, and we want you to be able to enjoy your favorite programming wherever you go. With DISH Remote Access you can watch all your favorite shows and teams anytime, anywhere over a high-speed Internet connection or 3G cellular data plan. DISH Remote Access also enables you to manage your home television with a DVR manager with all the features of your home DVR, a searchable DISH program guide, and a virtual remote control.
DISH Remote Access Features
With DISH Remote Access, everything on your DVR and all your home channels are now at your fingertips. You can watch your favorite comedies, dramas, local news and weather, and sporting events right on your computer or mobile device. You can also search your TV’s DISH program guide by title, genre, keyword, or even by actor’s name. You can even browse the program guide without interrupting your family’s viewing. DISH Remote Access also allows you to schedule recordings of shows and series while you’re away from home. You can edit and delete recordings, just as you would at home, with the touch of a button. Another remote access feature is that your mobile device can turn into your TV remote allowing you to change channels, play recorded shows, and pause live TV!
Currently, DISH Remote Access is available on a wide variety of mobile devices including the iPhone®, iPod touch®, iPad® and DISH Remote Access Android™ & Blackberry®. More devices are being added all the time, so please check with your DISH Network representative to see if your mobile device is compatible with DISH Remote Access.
DISH Remote Equipment
You will need either a ViP® 922 SlingLoaded™ DVR or a ViP® 722/722k HD DVR receiver with Sling Adapter accessory to watch your TV with DISH Remote Access, and the receiver requires high-speed Internet service. With 1 Terabyte of storage, the ViP 922 has the largest storage capacity in the industry, and it’s the only DVR that lets you watch your TV everywhere.
